Qualifications
Previous experience as supervisor in a
restaurant/dining room operation, looking for a career in Food & Beverage
management
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel
Administration an asset, but not required.
The ability to work well under pressure.
Must be a team player and demonstrate
excellent organizational skills.
Previous staff training and development
experience preferred.
Must have demonstrated leadership
qualities.
Experience with decision-making and
problem solving.
Knowledge of wine service is an asset
Responsibilities
Provide on-the-floor supervision
Coach co-workers to ensure
establishment’s standards are being maintained
Provide performance management to
co-workers.
Be involved with ongoing
menu/wine/cocktail development
Be receptive and considerate of guest
comments and concerns
and respond quickly to the customer’s requests
Provide fast and efficient
and pleasant guest service
Promote professional work
habits that will develop the respect and will create return business from
customers
Have open/close duties, and ensure the
safekeeping of assets
Adhere to sanitation
standards as outlined by the Public Health Department.
Understand the restaurant’s financial
goals and seek
opportunities to increase revenues, minimize expenses and increase
employee productivity without sacrificing guest services.

A passion for food & wine
Excellent
organizational skills and costing abilities
Willingness to perform line functions
(for example, set tables, bus, serve and seat patrons) when required.
They should enjoy coordinating
information and the activities of others, e.g. setting work schedules and
evaluating training and monitoring staff
A friendly, pleasant personality
Good communication, supervisory and
problem-solving skills
The ability to remain calm while working
in close quarters with others during busy periods

Pay Range
$9.00 - $13.63
per hour depending on the experience of the
