Just need to talk to someone?

We offer immediate support and referral.  Full, confidential support and access to safety is given to women and children in or fleeing abusive situations.  Our Crisis Response Team is available for after-hours counseling, seven (7) evenings a week at both the Canmore and Banff Hospitals.

Banff Y Mountain Lodge

The Y Mountain Lodge, conveniently located on Spray Ave not far from downtown, is the perfect place to stay when you first arrive in town looking for work. The YWCA of Banff provides dormitory beds, private rooms and short-term residency stays. YWCA and Hostel members receive a discount on rooms.

Our on-site facilities make it a convenient, efficient place to camp out while on you job search:

* 24 hour messages recorded for you
* Internet Kiosks on-site, as well as Bow Valley College Banff Campus where you can work on your resume.
* Job Boards where local companies post information

Our residential accommodations are for a minimum of three-week stay and a maximum of six month stay. You must apply in person, provide two references and read and sign our policy agreement for accommodations. On average there is between a one-week and four-week waiting period to get into YWCA accommodations.

A great resource when you first arrive in town is the Local Lowdown, A Staff Guide to Banff and Lake Louise, published by the YWCA of Banff. Pick up your copy at the Y Mountain Lodge (available in French and English).

The Y Mountain Lodge is the perfect place for friends and family to stay when they are visiting you in Banff. Our budget private rooms are clean, safe and quiet. We offer ski packages in the winter season at a great rate that include room and ski tickets and transportation to the local hills.
