Wondering what staff accommodation is really like?

A lot of people living and working in Banff live in staff accomm. Typically most staff accomm in this area are dorm style buildings. Usually you will share one room with 2 or 3 people. You will most likely share bathrooms which are accessible to everyone on your floor and a common living room with a TV. There are usually no cooking facilities and instead a common staff cafeteria where you can get well priced food. There is not a lot of privacy but it is great for meeting people and saving money! Staff accomm is generally much cheaper than having your own apartment or sharing a house. Typical rent is about $210/month which includes everything but food.

In addition you can find great Employer Initiatives for accommodation such as Caribou's.  Click Here to learn more!

When looking for accommodation you will most likely be looking at a 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, and above. A good way to find a roommate if you are traveling alone is to post looking for a roommate on our My Banff Life board and in the laundry mats and hostels.
